We don't know what Anele Mdoda was talking about when she said US singer and former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland was not pretty. The Kisses Down Low singer recently visited South Africa for the On #SpritserSaturday #Youbelong campaign and she looked stunning. Following a successful visit to Mzansi earlier in the year, musical icon and Brutal Fruit Spritzer ambassador Kelly returned to the country.

?MINGLING WITH THE LOCALS

?Upon her arrival, Kelly held a press conference on Friday at the Leonardo that featured 80 pax media and other VIP guests in attendance. Hosted by 94.7's Thando Thabethe, the air was filled with love and laughter as the pair caught up from Kelly's previous visit and discussed the campaign. This was followed by an intimate and glamourous Spritzer Saturday luncheon at Park Station that was attended by some of Mzansi's top celebs and influencers including Cici Worldwide, Simphiwe Ngema, Nqobile Mhlambe, and Thabsie to name a few. When asked about what she enjoys most when visiting South Africa, Kelly was quick to point out the great food, the diverse accents, and the kind people. "Everybody is so warm. I hope what you give, I give back tenfold," she says. " I feel so warm and welcome here. I love the soul of this place. The soul of this country is as beautiful as the culture. It makes me feel at home and welcome."

?KELLY LOVES MZANSI?

Dressed in their Spritzer Saturday best, the attendees stood proud and powerful in their femininity, an embodiment of what the campaign is all about. Her return was about celebrating South African women and reminding them that they deserve to be seen and are just as worthy of the spotlight.  During her previous visit, Kelly joined Thando for an interview on 947 to share that she had decided to be part of this campaign because she was excited about its affirming narrative. This trip has been equally inspiring for Kelly. "The women of South Africa have captured my heart," she adds. "Coming back here after all these months I was most excited to experience the love, light, and authenticity that the women here exude. The Spritzer Saturday luncheon was the cherry on top. It reminded me exactly why we do this. Every woman in attendance was glowing and I loved how we all embraced our uniqueness,' she says. "It was a beautiful way to authentically connect with the women of South Africa, to have this shared space, because the commercial was so much fun. Shooting it there with them was so much fun. Sitting there, we talked about everything from motherhood to relationships, to our most embarrassing, to everything. We had a chance to bond. It's the vibration here that I feel so connected to and grateful for and talks about it everywhere I go: South Africa is my second home."?

KELLY SHOUT OUTS CASSPER NYOVES

?When asked whether she knows any local artists, Kelly mentioned a moving performance by Casper she saw on a visit. "There was an artist when I came a couple of years back, and he put on a killer performance. It was incredible," she says. "Cassper nailed that performance. And I remember we all saw the monitor behind the stage, and we were like, we want to go out there."
