Mapetla community is reeling with shock following the murder of a 12-year-old young girl who was a learner at Diodi primary school in the area of Soweto in Johannesburg.
REPORTED MISSING
Lebohang Tsotetsi was reported missing on Tuesday after she was sent to buy something at a local spaza shop by her mother and never came back. Upon realizing that Lebohang had not come back home from the shop, the family started searching for her. The Tsotetsi family even went to the spaza shop where she was last seen and they were told that she was seen speaking to someone who was driving a two-tone mini-bus taxi. The family then informed community leaders and the matter was then posted on a community WhatsApp group. As the search continued, the following day Lebohang was found dumped at an open space next to the Merafe hostel in Soweto.
RAPED AND DUMPED
Lebo’s grandmother, Emily Tsotetsi told the local Jozi FM that her granddaughter was allegedly raped and dumped at the open space on Wednesday. Tsotetsi has called upon the police to leave no stone unturned in searching for her grandchild’s killers. "We found her body naked and it looks like she was strangled with her shoelace because she had no visible injuries, it’s evident that this incident didn’t happen where she was found, she was killed somewhere else and dumped closer to home," said Tsotetsi. "I’ve never seen such cruelness, she was only a child, so brutal and inhumane," said Tsotetsi.
