She entered the industry; young, funky, vibrant, and fresh. Family and friends say that jazz aficionado Gloria Bosman lived a fruitful, artistic, and beautiful life and that her death may be sad but he memory will live on. Gloria died at age of 50 years old after battling with a short illness at her home, surrounded by family. At her memorial service held at the Soweto Theatre, friends playback happy and beautiful moments with their beloved Gloria. The host Lupi Ngcayisa welcomes mourners with fond memories and banter. Brenda MNtambo sings mourns her sadness in the song.

?BRENDA SISANE

Jazz love and broadcaster Brenda Sisane delivers her speech with tears down her eyes. "Gloria never betrayed love," she says. "I can categorically state that when she spoke, I heard because she spoke with such great vibration. Gloria, a mother, grandmother, daughter, historian, composer, sister, friend, she embodied such great characters of elegance and panache." She says she likes to think of Gloria as a thinker who wrote well and wrote everything. "She had a wit about her but could also write spiritually and in vernacular, and very syntax just expresses that she was brought up in a family of depth and strength. She was an intellectual and incredibly so."

 OTHEMBA MABUMO

Entering the stage with banter on her dress code, Nothemba Madumo who is usually in casual wear says she dressed formally to pay her respect to Gloria who hardly saw her in this light. "You can tell she was loved by various generations, ages, and the country at large," Nothemba says. Reading from her notes, she thanks Gloria's family for allowing her to share her days with Gloria. "She was strong and still vulnerable. She was a teacher, lover, and mentor. All my moments with Gloria over the year were glorious which is why I called her glorious. "Nothemba says she had an inspiring ?Get over attitude.' In general, as black women, we are called emotional, irrational, and temperamental and when we show our strength, we are called demanding, controlling, and aggressive. Gooris is one of the women in my life, I continue to learn from., She navigated this life by radiating strength, poise, and compassion despite the circumstance that restrict us all. I cannot believe that her name will no longer be listed in a line-up of artists who will be performing anywhere. But trust me, her legacy will forever be. Gloria understood the assignment and the assignment is black love is black wealth."

ABIGAIL QHUBEKA

Jazz music veteran and actress Abigail Qhubeka says she was speechless and proud to have contributed to her upbringing. "I have worked with Gloria and a lot of amazing artists, and International South African talent. The 65 years I have lived in this industry. Not that I am 65, honey, I am 83. I stand here proud when I see people like Gloria, I miss my sister who raised me and I took the baton and handed it down," she says before rendering the blues and bidding farewell to Gloria. Multi-talented jazz artist and instrumentalist Billy Monama played the hymn before Dr. Siongile Vilakazi spoke on behalf of SAMRO.

SIPHO HOTSIX MABUSE

Veteran award-winning artist Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse says she never imagined the day when he would be bidding her goodbye. "So much has been said about Gloria. I don't think that I need to repeat." But he recalls performing on the same stage three years ago with Gloria and other musicians." He goes through spiritual, moving, and picturesque memories of Gloria and one stands out of her performing barefoot at Kippies. "Kippies was heavenly on the night, Makeba was smiling up above, Sibongile with open arms, the night was glorious."
