KIDNAPPED AND KILLED
Chenene who is now a pastor of The Public Holy Catholic Apostolic Church in Zion told ZiMoja that his sister was kidnapped for three days before she was killed. "I have been informed that Nomvula was proposing love to the man's girlfriend when this man decided to kidnap and kill her. I last saw her on the day she disappeared. I left home and went to church and when I came back she hadn't returned home," he said.
SCREAMS ALERT GOGO
Chenene said that the grandmother of the guy who killed Nomvula said that she heard her scream in the three days that she was kidnapped. She said that she thought maybe they were fighting. "As days went by, the grandmother informed us that she there was a bad smell coming from the shack and she remembers asking the man about it and he dismissed it as the smell of a dead mouse. I suspect that they did this together with her girlfriend," he said.
PLASTERING THE SHALLOW GRAVE
Chenene further said that the woman decided to tip the cops because the boyfriend wanted to silence her too. "She informed the cops that the secret was too much for her to handle. That is why she decided to tell the cops to arrest her boyfriend as she feared for her life. She is now a state witness. Those two put us in a very awkward position. I am broken and I don't want to lie. What is more painful was the fact that he called his friend to plaster the floor after he had buried my sister inside that shack. They are heartless, they didn't see anything wrong about killing someone and burying her. They knew that I was looking for her but pretended not to know anything. Even worse, the guy stays two streets away from our house.
A REWARD
Chenene said that, "I even offered a reward to anyone who came forward with information about my sister but all that effort fell into deaf ears. My sister was a friendly person who was never violent. She was always smiling and I was able to identify her body because of the gold tooth. As much as we are waiting for DNA results but I know that was my sister. Chenene's sister was also a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. It is alleged Chenene's sister had made a move on the guy's girlfriend.

WAITING FOR DNA AND POSTMORTEM RESULTS
SAPS spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo confirmed the incident. "A 34-year-old man was arrested on 25 March 2023 after a decomposed body was found buried in a shallow grave at Lakeside extension in Orange Farm. The police followed up on information about a buried body at a certain yard and upon arrival at the scene, the K9 dog sniffed out the shallow grave. Human remains were exhumed and are believed to be of a woman. We are waiting for DNA and postmortem results to confirm the identification of the victim. Police investigations continue," he said.
