Forget facials, girls are going for vajacials

Noluvuyo "Bubbly" Sodela has magical hands that give the v-jay jay the kind of feeling a facial does

There's a new trend taking the skin care world by storm lately: vajacials and in the thick of things is stripper Noluvuyo "Bubbly" Sodela. According to her a vajacial is exactly what it sounds like - a facial for your vagina. "The focus is on the vulva of the vagina, the outer labia and bikini line. It does not actually deal with anything inner or past those points. This service is most commonly performed after a bikini or Brazilian wax service," she says, adding it has many amazing benefits, especially with spring break and summer right around the corner

COOCHIE DOCTOR

Sodela, who refers to herself as the Coochie Doctor, started dabbling in this space six months ago and has started her own vajacial and intimate spa, Bubblybling Concepts. She admits that more black women are conscious about how they look down there.                                                                                                                   "I was an exotic dancer for my You Tube followers and private clients when I decided to change the colour of my pubic hair to blonde. People started texting me asking how I was able to keep my cookie fresh and that I should help them," she says. "The interest was huge that I took it seriously and enrolled in a few  courses and look at me now...a whole cookie doctor," she adds.                  She says that most of her clients complain about uneven skin tone and darker inner thighs.                                                                                             "I now even own a brand which helps release toxins and boosts the immune system. I also have oils that remove dark marks and give it the glow it deserves."

A BOOMING BUSINESS

The Coochie Doctor says business is booming but loadshedding puts the spanner in the works as she cannot use some equipment such as steam machines and other high frequency machines. Despite the challenges, she says her business is doing well and the future looks bright.

LOCKDOWN STRUGGLES

When lockdown started she struggled to secure gigs as an actress. and packed her bags and headed back to Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape. This would later prove to be  a blessing in disguise. This is when she started exotic dancing on social media, which became a hit and before she knew it her fortunes had turned and more women wanted a vaginal make-over.
