Father to face full might of the law for raping his two-year-old daughter

The man who raped his own child is expected back in court next month

The man who is accused of sexually abusing his two-year-old daughter is expected back in court next month.

The father, who comes from Midrand in Johannesburg is facing attempted murder and rape charges. In a statement seen by ZiMoja, the mother claimed that the father raped the child from the time she was six months old. "One evening I was at my home with my two-year-old child and her father. I decided to sleep first and her father promised to look after her while I was sleeping, so we could rotate in watching her during the night. As the night progressed, I was awakened by a horrific scream and the sound of a loss of breath coming from my child. At that moment, my child was right in her father's hands lying on the bed. Confused as I was, I walked out of the room with my child leaving her father behind in the room, and drove to the nearest hospital with my child."

MEDICAL TEAM

The statement continues, "Upon arrival at the hospital, I handed my child over to the medical team and they went in to examine her as I was unable to talk or answer them. I was informed that my child had been raped, sexually assaulted, and violated. I was more terrified and confused. Through findings, they discovered that there was doses of drugs in my system which I had no knowledge of and how it got into m my body."

BAIL

The father is currently out on R5000 bail. "I can confirm that my baby daddy is facing one charge of alleged rape and one charge of attempted murder of his own child when she was only six months old," the statement reads. The alleged perpetrator will be back at the Midrand Regional Court on March 27 and 28.
