Family of a man who was convicted for his sister’s rape and murder celebrates his death

There were tears of joy when a man who raped and killed his sister ended his life. Khanyisani Buthelezi (27) from Mhesheni village in Nquthu in the Midlands of KwaZulu Natal was feared criminal at home and was arrested and charged with his sister’s rape and murder two years ago.


FEARED CRIMINAL


Khanyisani was released from prison and continued to terrorize his family as there are claims that he wanted to sleep with all his female members of his family. Khanyisani is alleged to have committed in Jeep hostel in Johannesburg on Tuesday. is alleged that Khanyisani who spent two years in jail for murdering his sister Nomvula Buthelezi two years ago.


COMMITTED SUICIDE


Speaking to a KZN based Zulu newspaper, family member Mathusini Buthelezi said they are relieved that Khanyisani is no more. "The family is excited with the news that Khanyisani is no more. He became my enemy when he decided to take and killed his sister Nomvula in 2020. He was very evil and heartless. I will never forget the incident where he attacked his sister while she was sleeping and raped her. Yes, he tried to ask for forgiveness from the family, but no one can forgive for such," she said. Another family member Jabu Buthelezi echoed the words of Mathusini. "I wonder where we went wrong in raising that child. Khanyisani became the most feared individual at home. Every female in our family was concerned about being raped by him. He used to joke about raping females at home every time he was drunk," she said. Jabu further said that the family will bury Khanyisani but they feel no pain about his passing away. "We are excited that Khanyisani is no longer. He did us a favour by taking his own life. Khanyisani will get a chance to meet his maker and explain to him why he raped and killed his sister. It good riddance that he is no more. We are celebrating that we are free now. We don?t have to sleep with one eye opened," he said
