She has officially handed in her resignation from the Power Lunch show on Power 98.7.
Seasoned radio host, Faith Mangope is set to join the new line-up at Metro FM to be announced at the end of March. According to an insider, the Mpumalanga-born host has already handed in her resignation and is excited to start her new job. "She's leaving. A gone girl. The offer was too good to resist and Power cannot at this point afford to counter offer.'
TAKING OVER FROM AYABONGA CAWE?
Faith who is currently hosting the lunchtime show at Power FMwill be taking over Ayabonga Cawe's show, the Metro FM Talk from 7 pm to 9 pm. Ayabonga is the author of The Economy On Your Doorstep and has been and is set to leave the station for greener pastures. According to a close friend, "Ayabonga will be pursuing his first love, which is Economics, and is tired of the frivolous world of fame,' the friend says. "He is not about fame. He had a great time, but he wants to focus his energies on what he studied, Economics. He is an economist, columnist, radio presenter, photographer, and activist. His portfolio is diverse.'
FAITH CAN'T WAIT?
A source close to Faith says that she is excited about the new challenge. "Power considered a counteroffer, but she did not entertain it. But it's not even about them afford to keep her.
