A man has killed his friend for drug money.

A man (32) from Thokoza in Ekurhuleni shot his friend four times, robbed him and stole his car to get money for drugs. In a disturbing video that emerged on social media two men are seen having a bit of a scuffle at  at a petrol station before the one shoots the other in cold blood. Zimoja is in possession of the perpetrator's picture but cannot reveal his identity because he has not appeared in court. ARGUMENT

The petrol attendant said he suddenly noticed that the two were actually arguing  and things looked tense."I was getting change for another customer and slowly walking towards the petrol pumps. The two guys ,whom I thought were friends, locked foreheads like bulls locking horns and the guy in a blue jacket pulled out a gun," he said.He added that the victim in a yellow jacket tried to stop his friend from shooting him but the suspect held on to him and fired his first shot and a second one immediately after that. When the guy in a yellow jacket fell to the ground his friend shot him for the third time before walking away. We thought he was leaving but he actually turned back and said something to the victim and kept pointing at him. We were scared to act at the time because we feared he would also shoot us.

LEFT HIM FOR DEAD

The petrol attendant said the suspect searched the victim for car keys and money before stealing the friend's silver car and leaving  him for dead." Lucky enough there was a cop van nearby and we pointed them to the direction of the suspect but they couldn't find him. We were later approached by a crime unit who heard about the incident and asked to view the CCTV footage."

MOTHER POINTED HIM OUT

It is alleged that the suspect drove to Thokoza hostel, abandoned the stolen car and sold the firearm to an unknown man at the hostel for R800. It is said that the suspect's mother was in in a prayer session when he was asked to accompany the community to the petrol station in order to confirm if it was really her son. SAPS spokesman Colonel Mavela Masondo police confirmed that it is the community crime unit group  who apprehended the suspect and called his mother to identify him because the footage wasn't clear, and the old woman who had had enough of her drug addict son said indeed it was him.Masondo said the suspect was in police custody and will appear in court soon.
