Davina Divine Bamako. Buys Edwin Sodi’s home

Businessman and controversial tenderprenuer, Edwin Sodi’s multimillion-rand Morningside mansion which went up for sale in February following corruption allegations has been sold to a female businessman.



POSSESSIONS


The Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU), a division of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), took possession of the Northern suburbs, 26 other homes, 27 cars - a BMW X3, two Chevrolet Utility, six Nissan NP200s, a Ford Fiesta, 41 Ford Rangers, 10 Hino trucks, five Bell TLBs, 15 Mazda CX3s, four Mercedes-Benz vehicles, three tankers, three Toyota bakkies, and eight VW cars. This is after he failed to reimburse DBSA over R39 million in upfront payments. His company is being investigated for tender corruption, which includes an R255-million asbestos contract in the Free State and the R295 million contract for the Rooiwal wastewater with 17 others.


SOLD


Edwin was reported to have bought the home after it was put up on auction and later put up again for sale. The house was listed by Lynn Petzer Lynn Estates. The five-bedroom home was recently bought by businesswoman and Lush Luxury clothing owner Davina Divine Bamako. Apart from her fashion business, Davina is the Group Chief Marketing Officer at DoshFX, a centralized crypto exchange, and has been in the crypto industry for more than two years.
