After the escape of convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester from jail last year, it looks like his girlfriend, Dr Nandipha Magudumana has also left her trail of destruction. Dr Nandipha not only ran away with Bester after helping him escape from prison, but she also put her father in trouble after he was charged for abetting an escaped prisoner, defeating the ends of justice and murder.
DR PASHY'S PASSPORT STOLEN
ZiMoja can reveal that her friend and fellow doctor, Dr Pashy, whose real name is Mmereka Ntshani, claims that the person who gave Dr Nandipha her passport was a travelling agent. This week, she told the media that her passport was stolen but ZiMoja can confirm that she claims that her travelling agent who had her passport is the one who gave it to Nandipha, which she used to escape from South Africa.
QUESTIONED BY POLICE
The police went to Dr Pashy's house looking for her last weekend after the discovery of her passport on Dr Nandipha. She explained that the police came looking for her, and when they didn't find her at her home, she then went to the police station where she was questioned about how Dr Nandipha got hold of her passport. "The cops went to her house in Pretoria not knowing that she has another house in Johannesburg,' adds the source. The police wanted to know how Nandipha got hold of her passport. "She claimed that a travel agent is the one who gave the passport to Nandipha. Why would anyone risk their business by passing their client's identity document to fugitives, this doesn't make sense," says one of her friends. Dr Pashy is likely to be one of the people to be called as a witness since her passport was used for criminal purposes. Dr Pashy said she will be taking legal steps against Nandipha.
BACK IN THE COUNTRY
Bester and Dr Nandipha landed at Lanseria Airport in the early hours of this morning. The couple were separated at the boarding gates with Magudumane taken to unnamed police station while Bester was taken to Kgoshi Mampuru Prison in Pretoria, heavily guarded. The couple was arrested last week Friday in Tanzania. They were arrested while trying to flee to Kenya, with a third suspect, from Mozambique, has also been charged.
