They left behind and fled from their plush rental home in Hyde Park, abandoning some of their belongings including some furniture and a few precious pieces. This is after a couple, Dr. Nandipha Magudumama and Facebook Rapist and murderer Thabo Bester made headlines. The convicted criminal who was believed to have died in a fire while serving time at Mangaung Correctional Centre, was, in fact, alive and living lavishly with his alleged "customary wife", Dr Nandipha in a Hyde Park mansion.

HOUSE TO LET

It is alleged that Thabo has been a "free man' for almost a year. He posed as the chairperson of 21st Century Media, a scam events and production company. After the news made headlines of Thabo's escape from prison, the couple fled, and Dr. Nandipha left her children with her ex-husband. They packed their belongings and Thabo allegedly left his watch valued at R1.5 million watch on the bedside table. Their plush home valued at R12 million has since been vacant and back on the rental market. 4Tune Property Smiths confirmed to ZiMoja that the house is back-up for rental. "It is a beautiful four-bedroom home going for R70 000 monthly rental.' Details of the house have not yet been uploaded on the property website as the home has recently been vacant due to police investigations. "We will be updating the site soon for people to start viewing. It is beautiful and located in luxurious Hyde Park.' 

LIVING FABULOUSLY

A staff member from the estate agent who did not want to be identified, described how the woman who previously lived in the home (Dr Nandipha) flaunted her wealth with luxury cars, designer wear, and lived lavishly. "She drove luxury cars and lived a good life.' The property is reported to have been under Thabo's alias name Katlego Tom "TK' Motsepe Nkwana and Dr Nandipha explained that her husband was overseas, whereas he was still serving time behind bars. The insider says that the property owners have had to make a few refurbishments to the home. "Nothing major. Nandipha didn't own the house, so we can do as they please. The house is still beautiful and in tip-top condition.' Two months before the prison break, it is reported that an Airbnb profile in the name of "TK Nkwana' was created and used to make around 10 bookings at luxury homes in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal. One was a mansion in an estate in Ballito Bay, in KwaZulu-Natal, from 12 until 14 March 2022 worth R18,000, and the names Dr. Nandipha used was Dr Enjoy Magudumana Nkwana as she was one of the guests, along with two other people.

A MEDICAL PRACTITIONER

Dr. Nandipha grew up in the small town of Bizana, in the Eastern Cape, and is the founder of Optimum Medical Aesthetics, a skincare and aesthetic clinic in Sandton which specialises in non-surgical treatments such as hairline, botox restoration, and chemical peels. After obtaining her BSc in Health Sciences from WitsUniversity, she studied medicine and spent some time in the public health sphere. She obtained wealth and fame in a short space of time. Thabo and Dr Nandipha's love story is reported to date back to 2006 while she was still at Wits University, and she was one of his agency's promo girls. After university, she went on to marry Dr. Mkhuseli Magudumana. She worked at several hospitals before opening her own practice. It is reported that when Thabo was convicted, Dr Nandipha reached out to him and started visiting him in jail.
