Popular DJ Supta has put a ring on it

YFM deejay Supta ended 2022 on a high with the release of his album Ntinga Ntaka. The A-list DJ  is starting the 2023 on an even higher note with a marriage proposal. DJ Supta ,whose real name is Siyabulela Sithole (30),proposed to his girlfriend Tebello Moloi (29) on their 10-year anniversary at a hotel, outside Johannesburg, while on a holiday.

THE BIG PROPOSAL

The couple took time out of their busy schedules for a much-needed rest. "We had planned that we were going on a December getaway just to rest, reset, refresh and rejuvenate,' Supta tells ZiMoja. "I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to propose.' He said he created a romantic setup in their room where he popped the question. "That is where I proposed on the balcony overlooking the views of Gauteng, at the hotel outside of Johannesburg.' Supta had taken the time to plan the proposal. "This didn't just happen overnight; it was something I had planned for some time. I told my friends and family about it. They knew about the intent and the proposal, and they gave me their blessing.'

THEIR LOVE STORY

The two met at the University of the Free State where they were both studying and started dating in 2013.  Supta says what he loves about Tebello is her kindness and support. "There's just so much I love about her.Part of the proposal is that the ring has 21 diamonds. With the ring, I gave her a card where I wrote down 21 reasons why I want to spend the rest of my life with her. She is loving, supportive, kind, smart, intelligent, and independent, and believes in me and herself. She is beautiful, I can trust her, she is loyal, there is a lot. Those are just some of the things that stand out as to why I love her so much.'

LOBOLA AND WEDDING

Supta plans to send his uncles for lobola negotiations in a few months. "We discussed that we would take time with the wedding. We want a beautiful and elegant wedding that really is a representation of who we are. Our families also need to have a say because we initially didn't want to even have a wedding but because we are uniting families and we are both last borns, our families were not going to take no for an answer.' The two are in no rush. He says th ewedding could happen in a year or two because they really want to patiently plan so that when they implement it, it is one of the best days of their lives and will be a memory forever.
