Their friendship was like that of siblings. They had each other's back for years. But things went sour when the singer and songwriter allegedly helped herself to her friend's husband. DJ Happygal, real name Happiness Ndlovu was hurt after her best friend and singer Naima K allegedly cheated with her ex-husband.

THE FAIRYTALE

 In 2018 DJ Happygal married her boyfriend of four years, businessman Thami Zondi. Their big day was attended by popular artists including Kwaito star L'vovo, DJ Sox, Afro-pop singer Naima Kay and Malusi Gigaba's then wife Noma. A close friend of the two reveals to ZiMoja that Happygal took Naima into her home while she was ill and nursed her to good health. "If you remember, Naima lost weight after falling ill a few years ago. She was in the hospital and Happy took her in,' the source says. "She was feeding her, bathing her and even driving her to doctors' appointments when she was not okay, but Naima messed up.' According to the insider, Naima broke what many call the girl code. "You do not go near your friend's man, ex, or siblings.' the friend says. "She cheated with Happy's man.' The friend advises that having friends around your husband is not a good idea. "That is why you should never have a friend living in the same house as your man or even speak about your relationship to your friends and siblings. Friendships can be toxic and very dangerous.'  

THE END OF A FRIENDSHIP

The two have not yet made peace. "It was really bad, the friendship ended abruptly and we all have to deal with it as friends. Naima did Happy dirty and she knows.' According to the friend, Happygal has since separated from her husband. "It had to end. Not after what he did.' When called for comment, both Naima and Happygal said they do not discuss their personal matters. "I am focusing on my music,' says Naima.
