FIRING INSULTS
In a circulating recorded clip Mchunu is heard saying: "I don't know why this old old man keeps signing. He is old and fat. He can't even fit in a studio. When he arrived to record everyone in the studio must vacate the place to make space for him. This is desperation and poor management. He must retire, " Mchunu said.Langa responded to remarks through his management company."Thokozani has noted the recording made by Ngizwe Mchunu, the voice recording has been shared multiple times and uploaded on some YouTube Channels. Thokozani has no desire to comment on anything in relation to that recording regardless of the precise content the insults are made in. With clear understanding what an insulting expression does to people as it unfolds and why is of considerable importance to psycholinguists interested in how language moves people but also to others who wish to understand the details of social behaviour. Thokozani is currently on production stage of his 24th music album and wished not to entertain such jibe from a failed radio announcer," said Gift Mdlalose, Head of Talent Management from Universal Stars.
NO STRANGER TO CONTROVERSY
Mchunu is not new to controversy and he is currently being accused of inciting violence in KwaZulu Natal during the July unrest. He had a fall out this year with former KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala in a matter they agreed to settle it out of court. Mchunu refused to comment saying: "Angikhukumi nezintatheli (I don't speak to jurnalists"
