For weeks, her boyfriend's side chick tormented her. She would call and insult her on the phone and even went on to break her house windows. Phelisa Kulu from Drieziek 4 in Orange Farm, south of Johannesburg couldn't take it anymore. She told her boyfriend to leave her house.

The deceased sustained bruises on her face," said an unauthorised cop who wished not to be named. "We were informed that the body was discovered by the victim's mother who went to check on her daughter when she couldn't get hold of her on the phone,' the cop said.

CLEANING OUT THE DECEASED

The suspect is believed to have stolen Kulu's belongings soon after the murder. He allegedly took her bank cards, ID, drivers' license, cellphones and her car. A neighbour who spoke to ZiMoja said that the family also discovered that the man managed to withdraw all of Kulu's April salary when it came in on the 15th. "What he did is heartbreaking. Phelisa was done with the relationship after suffering in the hands of that man's side chick. He could have taken all those things and spared her life,' the neighbour said.
