It is barely a month since the death of his bestie and music industry compadre DJ Sumbody who was shot in the early hours of his All White picnic on 20 November. But Rapper and businessman Refiloe "Cassper Nyovest" Phoolo said, "the show must go on" as he gathered crowds for his sixth annual Fill Up concert.
?OVERCOMING CHALLENGES?
On 3 December, people from all walks of life filled Mmabatho stadium in Mahikeng to witness history in the making. The #FillUpMmabathoStadium concert was a resounding success with the likes of Nasty C, Anatii, Malome Vecto, Musa Keys, Makhadzi,OkMalumkoolkat and Kwesta as leading acts. Hosted by social media sensations Carpo, Primo, Pamela Mtanga, and TV star Somizi who introduced the main act, the event was hugely supported.?

HONOURING RIKY RICK AND DJ SUMBODY?
To show he was happy to be home, Cassper opened the concert with a traditional Batswana ensemble before performing his popular hits. He also paid tribute to his fallen friends Riky Rick and DJ Sumbody. "The show had its challenges," Cassper says. "We are grateful to the supporters for their devotion and love. We are committed to bringing a much better show to the people of the Northwest. The Siyathandana rapper says, the year 2023, will be one to remember. "Next year, we will ensure that the experience is without any glitches. We thank the sponsors and the various departments for their unwavering support, as well as our law enforcement officials for guaranteeing the safety of all attendees. Next year we come back stronger and with even more resources."
