Rapper Cassper Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo is mourning the death of his paternal grandmother. This is almost three months since the death of his close friend Oupa John Sefoka, fondly known as DJ Sumbody who was shot and killed in November last year. 

LOSING HIS GRANNY

The Phumakim rapper has taken to social media to share the saddening news shortly after his granny’s passing. “Gained another guardian angel last night. My Grandmother from my dad’s side, Naledi ‘Star’ Phoolo crossed over. Thank you for everything nkgono. May your lessons stay with us so we can live a long, beautiful lifelike you did. May your soul rest in peace.” he shared. 

AUNT DIES OF CANCER

This is the second death in his family in less than six months. Late last year, Cassper buried his aunt named Zo who died from cancer. “Laid my favourite aunt to rest

today. Life is going by a bit faster than I thought it would. There is no time. Rest in peace Zo. I cried like a baby today. I love you soooo soooo much and F**k Cancer,” he shared with his fans.
