TV personality and House of BNG founder Bonang Matheba's highly anticipated shoe range will officially launch this evening.The  launch and a fashion showcase of the Steve Madden Spring/Summer collection will take place at Zeitz Mocaa Museum in Cape Town. The invite-only event will be attended by the media, A-list celebrities, and her team from New York. The range hit the stores and online yesterday.

COLLABO WITH STEVE MADDEN

The "Holiday Select Collection' is in collaboration with Steve Madden and features six styles of shoes and two handbags.
"Two years ago, I started the process of designing the shoe range with a young lady in New York City who studied to be a shoe designer. Covid happened and I had to put all my plans on ice. Earlier this year I got a call from Steve Madden. I said oh my God! are you kidding me because it was the moment I had been waiting for,' she told Zimoja.

EVERYDAY SHOES

Bonang says the collection is a celebration of the holiday season. It is inspired by the festive season. "Of course, we are celebrating. We go out whether it's the Christmas party,  wedding, matric dance, or New Year's Eve party, it is December, which means celebrating. The collection is about dressing up, and has six wonderful styles, platforms and sandals. It is shoes that I like, shoes that represent me. It is shoes that I would wear with anything including jeans, a t-shirt or anything in between,' she said.

A YACHT EXPERIENCE

Bonang adds that there are also two handbags. This will not be Queen B's big moment this year. Highlights of their career this year include hosting the 8th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) in Lagos, a Nivea endorsement and the House of BNG's ongoing partnership with Miss South Africa. B who is synonymous with lavish parties says this December she will be hosting friends of her brand with a House of BNG Yacht experience. 'It is strictly by invite only and it is going to be everything fabulous, " concludes Bonang.
