"Audiences will fall in love with The Honeymoon" - Minnie Dlamini bags new film role

Minnie Dlamini will play alongside Kajal Bagwandeen, and Tumi Morake

She is gearing up for the release of the film, The Honeymoon. The film will be released in 72 cinemas nationwide across all exhibitors come Friday, 31 March. Actress and TV presenter Minnie Dlamini (32) will play the character of Lu, alongside Kajal Bagwandeen, and Tumi Morake.?

The story starts with Kat's (Kajal Bagwandeen) fianc? who calls off their wedding the night before the big day, the ambitious but insecure Kat is devastated. Her long-time best friends, Noks (Tumi Morake) and Lu (Minnie Dlamini) persuade Kat to go on her honeymoon to Zanzibar with them. What was meant to be a holiday away from their problems, soon turns into something else? will their friendship survive a wild time in paradise? "Working with Kajal Bagwandeen, Tumi Morake and Minnie Dlamini has been an adventure," Bianca Isaac says. "They are beautiful, extremely talented and they own their space just like their characters do. I believe audiences will fall in love with The Honeymoon and connect with the characters. They've experienced them and some may even be them right now."?

A SEASONED ACTRESS

Minnie made her acting debut on Generations many moons ago. She went on to play a lead role as Zintle Lebone on The Wild. She co-hosted several local and international awards across radio, television and film. After her long run as a presenter on Homeground, a sports lifestyle show aired across local channels, she has returned to acting with The Honeymoon. She couldn't be happier to return to her first love.?

FILMED IN 26 DAYS ?

The Honeymoon unpacks the story of friendship and self-discovery. The film does not revolve around getting the guy back or seeking his approval. The film takes viewers on a visual experience, filmed over 26 days ? paired with an African-pop soundtrack connecting artists from South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Tanzania.
