The Zulu chiefs under the Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has banned KwaZulu Natal (KZN) African National Congress (ANC) Chairperson Siboniso Duma after he humiliated the Zulu Traditional Prime Minister Thulasizwe Buthelezi.
TENSIONS
This comes after tensions became evident between Buthelezi and Duma during the 110th commemoration of the death of King Dinuzulu kaCetshwayo in KwaCeza in the far north of KZN on Saturday. Videos have been circulating on social media of Duma grabbing the microphone from Buthelezi when he was about to introduce Zulu King Misuzulu. Buthelezi who is also the IFP mayor in Zululand district municipality criticised the provincial government and before he could speak about ANC secretary Bheki Mtolo. This angered Duma who grabbed the microphone and told Buthelezi to sit down. Buthelezi criticised the current government which Duma is a part of disrespecting the King. Buthelezi was saying the provincial government must ?emulate? national government and President Cyril Ramaphosa and ?respect? the King.
APOLOGY
Duma has since apologized to Misuzulu for the manner he treated Buthelezi. Misuzulu is on the record where he criticised the KZN ANC for treating him like a child. When Zimoja contacted Buthelezi for comment with regards to the incident he said (waiting for his comment)
