He is almost every soapie lover’s crush. Adulting and The River actor Thembinkosi Mthembu is officially off the market as he makes the strides leading close to his wedding day.

MARRIED

Over the weekend the actor and his fiancé hosted a traditional ceremony (Umembeso) as part of their wedding. A close family friend in attendance shared that the actor had paid lobola for his long-term partner and they were hosting traditional events leading up to the final wedding. “This weekend, there was a traditional ceremony. He paid lobola some time ago, and they are almost official, just needing the final wedding,” she says. “They hosted the welcoming of the bride to the home.”

THE BIG DAY

Thembinkosi has been very hush about who his partner is and what she does for a living, but he celebrated with close TV industry friends including Wiseman Mncube and Linda Nxumalo in his home in Kwa-Ndengezi in Kwa-Zulu Natal. “I don’t like to talk about my personal life, but everyone knows that I have been in a long-term relationship,” he tells ZiMoja. Although many of his female fans are in denial about tying the knot, he has jokingly pretended to have been attending a family member’s wedding. “It’s never been a secret, I am in a relationship. I am a family guy.” The renowned actor also confirmed earlier this year that he was in a relationship with his partner for over seven years during their anniversary. Thembinkosi has a diploma in Drama and Production Studies from Durban University of Technology in 2017.
