Award-winning actor and comedian Siyabonga Radebe might find himself without a job if his grievances with the South African Broadcasting Corporations (SABC) are not resolved.Siya B as he is affectionately known in the entertainment industry, joined Uzalo alongside legendary actress Thembi Nyandeni and Omuhle Gela to form the notorious Magwaza family. Radebe plays the role of Vikizitha Magwaza, a thug who takes no nonsense and is not scared of anyone.
THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL
It is alleged that Siya B is embroiled in money grievances with SABC. "At the moment it is unclear on what is happening in his career in Uzalo as no one has informed us if he is still part of the show or not. It's been a while since he has been here to shoot. We were asking each other ons et as to what is happening with his role as he just went quiet,' the first source says. Zimoja contacted the production company that produces the telenovela and the publicist at Stained Glass, Nomfundo Zondi, said on multiple occasions to get clarity on Radebe's future, all queries must be directed to the SABC. "I have been instructed not to comment on this matter by the SABC. Kindly send all your queries to them as I am not allowed to respond on the allegations involving Siya B,' she said. Gugu Ntuli, Group Executive: Corporate Affairs and Marketing, "Actors are contracted to a production company. In this case, Siyabonga is contracted to Stained Glass Production for Uzalo. The SABC has been made aware of the current challenge presented by Siyabonga. Both the production company and the SABC are in engagement with the actor regarding this matter and we look forward to a favourable resolve. We value Siyabonga's outstanding work on Uzalo and hope that the matter can be finalised timeously"
