Former Miss SA and Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi has scored a massive deal as the new brand ambassador for haircare company, Dark and Lovely and the spokesperson for the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
AN AMBASSADOR
The brand announced the news: "With her grace, strength, and empowering spirit, Zozibini embodies the essence of our brand," they said. "Get ready to be inspired as we embark on this journey together, celebrating beauty in all its forms. We couldn't be more pleased to be launching our Pro Collection Stimulating Serum with one of the most inspirational and aspirational African superstars of our time." They said this is the future of haircare. "Every hair story deserves a happy ever after."
BEAUTY
Zozibini's short natural hairstyle first stood out when she entered Miss South Africa. At the time, she expressed that her aim was to inspire people "by making them feel good about embracing their naturalness in all forms," she said. She believes that natural hair should be an option for African women. "The first misconception people have about beauty queens is that they have no depth, which is why they don't find relevance in beauty pageants. This is far from the truth." Zozi said while entering Miss SA. "Through pageants, I've met inspirational women from different backgrounds doing amazing things for themselves and their communities." She concluded that beauty pageants are more than just about looks and beauty. "Beauty pageants are more than just outer beauty; they are about what an individual can offer to the world. They are about being impactful, being an empowered woman who can empower other women. That can never be irrelevant."
