Singer and songwriter Kelly Khumalo this week was implicated in Senzo Meyiwa death. He was shot during what is said to be a botched robbery at her mom's home in Vosloorus in 2014. In an affidavit by accused number one and two Muzi Sibiya and Bongani Ntanzi respectively, the mother of Senzo Meyiwa's child, Kelly was named as the person who allegedly hired an inkabi (hit man) to kill the footballer. Muzikawulahlelwa Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Ziphozonke Maphisa, and Sifisokuhle Ntuli are currently standing trial after being arrested in 2020. The court heard that Kelly had been trying to "get rid" of Senzo since 2013.

Since the naming of Kelly, she has remained mum about the court proceedings. However, her sister, Zandie Khumalo-Gumede who was also present on the night the soccer player was killed says she will stand by her sister and support her forever. "I know your heart," Zandie says about Kelly. "Wherever Senzo is, he also knows your heart."
