YFM presenter served with protection on order during show

Dimpho Mokgotho was served with a protection order

YFM personality Dimpho Mokgotho ended her show at 2pm on Sunday while the police waited to serve her with a protection order. The drama took place in the full view of other people including security guards and other presenters at the station's Hyde Park offices.

FIGHTING OVER A RICH MAN

Apparently Dimpho, who presents the D Spot with Dimpho on weekends, and another woman named Masego Kepadisa have been fighting over a man since last year. According to an affidavit filed by the complainant, Dimpho has been bad mouthing her to their two-timing wealthy boyfriend from the North West Province. According to a source close to the situation, the two ladies, who both hail from Mahikeng, were once close friends. That's until the rich boyfriend came in between the BFFs. "Dimpho has been calling and texting Masego insulting her and badmouthing her to the boyfriend," the source said, adding that Masego had enough of the insults that he approached the court for a protection order which was granted. "She came all the way from Mahikeng to make sure the authorities serve Dimpho with the summons after pointing her out to the police. When the police, Dimpho was still on air and she couldn't leave the studio unattended. It was embarrassing because there were other people in studio like the technical staff," added the witness.

BOSSES PLEADED WITH COPS

Another source at the station alleges that Dimpho's bosses pleaded with the police to wait for her to finish the show since she there was no replacement on hand at the time.  "The police were patient enough as they waited for more than an hour until the show was over. They tried not to embarrass Dimpho by not causing drama at the reception," said a source, adding that, "She shouldn't have gone there while she was at work as bosses were forced to be involved in her mjolo issues, " said the source.

Called for comment YFM station manager, Haseena Cassim, said it was too soon to comment. "I do not have any comments at this stage," When called for comment Dimpho declined. Masego could not be reached for a comment.
