YFM radio DJ Mncedisi Sindane who presents the graveyard shift, took the show literally and became a ghost. Sindane, the winner of Y's #BeTheNext competition in 2021, has been fired by the station for not going to work the past few weeks.
HE KNEW HOW TO OPERATE THE RIGHT BUTTONS
According to sources close to management at the station, Sindane to put the programming in auto play but there were no links. "He knew how to manipulate the system to play music in his absence while he was partying or chilling at home," the source said. According to ZiMoja sources, Sindane's absence was eventually discovered by management. He rubbed the bosses the wrong way when they discovered that he had been invoicing the station for a job he was not doing. "Whistleblowers blew his cover behind his back," said the source. According to the source, management immediately showed him the door and he was fired with immediate effect for his shenanigans. According to the source had it not been for the whistleblower maybe the station wouldn't have picked it up. When called for comment, the station manager refused to comment about the matter. "I have no comment regarding to this matter," she said. According to another source Sindane has been emotionally and physically tired between running his other side hustles, his studies and having to do the graveyard shift. It took a toll on him. "He loves his job there is no way he would just jeopardise it like that- there is more to that story than meets the eye," added the source.
