The police in Bohlokong, Bethlehem in the Free State have arrested a 37-year-old woman for the alleged murder of her husband. It's alleged that the 42-year-old husband was shot and killed on Wednesday.
HIS BODY WAS FOUND IN THE STREET
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring, the Bohlokong police were patrolling the Naledi section for crime prevention purposes around 8 pm on New Year's Day when they came across the body of a man lying in the street with bullet wounds on his face. ?He was identified by his family. The motive behind the murder is not known yet, but the case of murder is being investigated. The suspect has been charged and will appear before the Bethlehem Magistrate Court on Monday, 6 January 2025, on a charge of conspiracy to murder,? Mophiring said.
COP ALLEGEDLY KILLED BY EX LAID TO REST
Meanwhile, a Tshwane Metro Police officer, Constable Ramaabele Mothapo, has been laid to rest in her village of Hweleshaneng in Ga-Mphahele in Limpopo this morning. Mothapo was allegedly shot dead by her ex-boyfriend John Manyaba on Christmas Eve at her home in Lotus Gardens in Pretoria West. After allegedly killing Mothapo, Manyaba took her car and fled to Limpopo, where he was arrested and charged in the Lebowakgomo Magistrate Court before being transferred to Pretoria. Manyaba made a brief first appearance at the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Friday. He briefly appeared in Pretoria Magistrates Court yesterday, and the matter has been postponed to 22 January for a bail application. The state said they will oppose bail.
