Penny Lebyane and Ntsiki Mazwai were once both in solidarity and standing against GBV and women's issues when Thato 'Fresh' Sikwane and Themba 'DJ Euphonik' Nkosi were being accused of rape by a Pretoria woman. But now TV and radio personality Penny has come forward to clarify any speculations about her alleged friendship with controversial poet Ntsiki. Ntsiki's alleged irresponsible tweets led Fresh to sue her for defamation after calling him an abuser, roping in Penny who also had a few words to say regarding the matter. 

In a recent event, the uWrongo poet and scholar gave her two cents worth and defended Zimbabwean politician Rutendo Matinyarare, who was questioned in an interview by Leanne Manas on why he chose to settle in South Africa as opposed to going back home to Zimbabwe. The controversial poet came to Rutendo's defence when he was being grilled on X. "White arrogance is fed by black fools. You cannot be serious to be taking a white woman's side over a black man in Afrika about being in Afrika. You're embarrassing you stupid fools,' Ntsiki said.

Social media called on Penny to speak to her alleged friend. But she has since revealed that Ntsiki has blocked her on social media and a close friend described the scenario as "fok fok!' The friend said the two don't even talk much. "Why do people think they are friends? They barely talk. Ngamafok fok actually because both of them are imbokodo akere?'

However, the TV host has since clarified her friendship with Ntsiki. "It's not like we are bosom buddies," she told ZiMoja. "I'm tired of being roped in every time Ntsiki has something to say. Yes, we were both implicated in a court case then but that is where it ends." Penny said she has been blocked by Ntsiki on X (formerly Twitter). "She's blocked me and it's not the first time. I'm my own person. Even at the Roast Of Minnie Dlamini, they said the only friend I have is Ntsiki,' she said. "We don't even talk. People have this perception that we hang out, like we are bosom buddies. Stop dragging me into her things.'

Penny went on to vent on social media distancing herself from Ntsiki. "I wear a weave and always have. I was dragged into a case and l have every right to defend myself as a matter of principle,' Penny said. "Contrary to an unfounded popular belief l'm not in a clique or tag team of sorts with anyone so please stop tagging me on your war with #Ntsiki Thank You. Please respect my intelligence... l have never and am not or will never be anyone's parrot,' she added.
