Radio personality Vanessa Marawa is back at Durban-based radio station, Vuma FM. Vuma FM which was established in 2012 and currently one of the biggest commercial radio stations in KZN, made the announcement on Friday. Vanessa will be co-hosting the midday show iCrush yo Lova with Vincent Mgenge daily from 12 to 3 pm.
RETURNING TO RADIO
Marawa was doing the same show before she left the station a few years ago for TV. Marawa shot to fame when she was named season 1 winner of Survivor SA in 2006. She survived 29 days and scooped a cool R1-million for her efforts. She is Robert Marawa’s sister. In a social media post on Friday, Vanessa said: "The cat’s out the bag! I’m beyond excited to be back on the station with the best listeners @vumafm. Join iCrush yo Lova with @mankini_mgenge from Monday 3 July 2023! 12h00 - 15h00! Ungasho ukuthi angishongo... It’s going to be delicious," she wrote.
MINOR ADJUSTMENTS
The station also announced minor adjustments to their line-up with Vuma FM Breakfast Show remaining with host Mzokoloko who joined the station in February 2022 alongside the station presenter search winner Nombuso Mkhwanazi and Gabriel Sithole. The weekend line-up stays the same with an addition to the Weekend Extragavanza show hosted by Linda Mothao from 10h00 to 14h00. A new segment called Vuma Sakhane will be hosted by Khosi Magubane which will feature on Saturdays from 11h00 to 12h00. The station’s specialty shows see no change in presenters Nhlanhla Mkhanya who hosts the business and finance show called It’s All About Money with Neo Potswana hosting the Current Affairs.
