TV, radio, music, and fashion lover, Tshego Koke is said to have left MTV to join the music channel, Channel O. Tshego joined the MTV family almost six years ago after winning the MTVBase VJ Search in 2017 and since then, he has been the golden boy of the channel.
STARTING OUT
The Ga-Rankuwa-born TV host has since bagged a new job at Channel O. An insider revealed to ZiMoja that Tshego (32) has started shooting for the new channel which is also on Metro FM. "This is a big move for him, as he considered MTV his home, but he is looking for growth, better money, different environment and they are the ones who approached him with an offer." The friend to Tshego reveals that he is sad about leaving but also up for a new challenge. "Change is good, he has been there for more than five years, and he can always go back if things don't work out.
HIS LAST DAYS
Tshego's last show on MTV Base is alongside Caddy Tsotetsi where they will be hitting the streets on a club tour to different venues across Gauteng. When he won the VJ search, Tshego had just come out of depression due to unemployment. He presented the entertainment show NewsISH.
NEGOTIATING
Speaking to ZiMoja, Tshego says he is still negotiating his contracts on both sides and will know his fate soon. "I have not started shooting for Channel O, I'm not sure which source told you that. I am definitely still negotiating my contract and will know by Monday whether I will be leaving or not. It's still a discussion now and a statement will be sent out once everything is confirmed."
