It was a day to remember as the annual Jams On Ice concert paid tribute to the late DJ Sumbody.
PROMINENT FEATURES
Real name Oupa John Sefoka from Pretoria, DJ Sumbody was one of the prominent features at the yearly event. DJ Sumbody was gunned down in a hail of bullets in Johannesburg in November last year before his annual All White event.
Speaking ZiMoja, event organiser Katlego Bogatsu said that people came out in large numbers to celebrate the life and tribute to the one of the number one Amapiano pioneers.
"We decided to dedicate this event to him since he was one of our resident deejays of the event and there was never a time he missed being part of it. He had always been available every time we requested that he comes and entertain the people of Soweto. It?s a huge loss to the Amapiano music supporters as he was a good businessman who understood the power of employing the youth and entertainment. Our theme this year was jamming with DJ Sumbody as part of remembering his good music," he said.
NIGHT TO REMEMBER
This years event saw award winning deejay and Afrotainment boss DJ Tira rocking the stage. Award winning Afro pop sensation Sjava, rappers Mo Moleme, Tuks Senganga, producer and Amapiano singer Aymos to mention the few.
