Generations: The Legacy fans are in for an eye candy treat as former TV presenter turned actor, Dr Fezile Mkhize makes his debut on the soapie. Dr Mkhize made his debut as an actor on Showmax's Adulting.
REPLACING PAUL MOROKA
ZiMoja understands that Dr Mkhize could be replacing the beloved character, Paul Moroka junior. The character was previously played by Rebaone Kgosimore who was allegedly fired by the production. According to a source close to the production, it was no easy to replace the beloved character, but Dr Mkhize is more than up to the task. "With his impressive credentials and magnetic personality, he is sure to become a fan favourite in no time. He is both handsome and talented- I am sure fans will enjoy Dr Mkhize," adds the source. According to another source, Dr Mkhize has already signed his contract and started shooting and he will start appearing on the small screen in December. The source adds that the producer made a decision to bring Dr Mkhize on board to captivate the female fans because he is easy on the eye. "They wanted someone who is as equally talented and both talented...he was the perfect candidate,".
HIS RISE TO FAME
Dr Mkhize rose to fame in 2018 when he won the SABC 3 presenter competition. Born and bred in Johannesburg, he is a medical doctor with a passion for helping people. The 32-year-old doctor had said in the past that he was persuaded to try TV presenting by his long-term girlfriend. During his spare time, he enjoys reading and shooting hoops at the local basketball court with his friends. Generations publicist Chris Morris could not confirm or deny that Dr Mkhize will be joining the show. "All we can say is that fans should keep watching the show because there will be so many exciting surprises coming up," he said.
