Actress Thuli Phongolo is back in business, doing her work as a DJ after a short interval. She was dealing with a scammer using her booking details to swindle money from promoters. The hacker gained access to her contact details and has been demanding money from promoters.
HACKED!
She announced that she had put bookings on hold sorting out the matter. "My bookings phone number has been hacked. Please do not send any money to anyone or proceed with any booking. I am currently not accepting gigs until further notice. We are working on fixing this matter urgently." She cautioned her fans and promoters not to make any bookings after having her platforms hacked.
RESOLVING MATTERS
Thuli has come forward to say the matter has been rectified. "The booking issue has been resolved, however, please refer to the email or phone call for queries, only for now, until we are confidently certain that our WhatsApp is safe," she says. "Fortunately, all my business clients and contacts are smart and alert. I’m happy that no one fell for that scam" Thuli thanks those who made the effort to alert her team of the dubious behaviour.
THE TECH AND HOSPITALITY RIDER
Last year, the actor and DJ’s booking details and hospitality rider were leaked on social media, revealing that she charges R20 000 for a set. This excludes travelling expenses, a business class airplane booking, economy for her manager, and a hospitality rider which comprises two bottles of Moet Nectar champagne, one Remy Martin VSOP, mixers and a hubbly bubbly.
