The woman who accused The Wife actor, Sipho Ndlovu, of assaulting her has been arrested. Thandeka Mhlanga (33), who hails from Ntuzuma in KwaZulu Natal and currently residing in Fourways, accused the actor of assaulting her after she caught her with another woman.

ARRESTED AND CHARGED 

In new developments, Sipho Ndlovu opened three cases against Thandeka at the Douglasdale Police Station, who is currently behind bars and expected to appear in court tomorrow. Thandeka accused Sipho of giving her a hot clap before shutting a gate in her face on Saturday night. Speaking to Zimoja, Sipho denied assaulting Thandeka and claimed she was bitter after he ended their relationship. Thandeka had initially claimed that she had opened an assault charge against Sipho and said that she was waiting for the Cosmo Police Station to send her the case number. 

HE CLAIMS SHE IS A BITTER EX

Sipho claims that he has all the evidence to prove that he did not lay his hands on Thandeka. "I'm not a woman abuser and I have never laid my hands on a woman. Thandeka is a scorned woman who came to my place to fight with me because I ended our relationship. She told me that she was going to destroy me as a public figure. I have to protect my brand as an artist. I never wanted things to be like this but this is an opportunity to prove my innocence. This is a warning to other women who go all out to destroy the reputation of other men when the relationship ends," he said. Gauteng Police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza said the police have arrested one suspect, who is charged with assault common, crimen injuria and defamation of character. "The suspect was arrested today and will appear at the Randburg Magistrate's court tomorrow," she said.
