Mbali Ngiba, who portrayed the part of Zodwa on Umkhokha: The Curse is said to have been fired from the telenovela due to her tumultuous relationship with Deli Malinga. Malinga plays the part of MaMzobe in the Mzansi Magic show. 

SHE WAS FIRED

Sources close to the situation disclosed that the two actresses frequently clashed, with Ngiba feeling she deserved the same treatment as Malinga. Ngiba's desire for equal treatment and a higher salary ultimately led to her departure from the show. "Ngiba always compared herself to Sis Deli," the source said. "Deli is a veteran who earned her stripes, and she has been in the industry for longer than her. Both ladies are talented and beautiful, but to compare yourself with Deli, it would be pushing it," the source added. The source said that the two actors would often fight on set, which made other actors' lives uncomfortable. "Imagine two strong women in one room arguing. It was a mess," the source said.

NOT KNOWING HER PLACE 

Ngiba also requested a higher salary when Malinga received a raise, according to the source. "I think she forgot her place until the producers chose Malinga over her," said our source.
