The hunt is still on for the man who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and her sister. Nomvula Zulu (30) from Hawayi Village in Bhukhanana outside Empangeni, North of KwaZulu Natal, was shot and killed instantly last week Saturday along with her younger sister Noluthando (20) who passed away a few days later at Ngwelezane Hospital.
Their older sister Bongi told ZiMoja that the family was in disbelief that her two sisters were shot on the same day. "We were not at home on Saturday when the incident happened. We were attending the funeral of one of our relatives whom we were burying on Sunday when we received news that Nomvula and Noluthando had been shot. What shocked us the most is that they were shot by the man whom we all knew as a family. I am still shocked that Nomvula was shot and killed by someone who once claimed to love her," Bongi said. She added that what puzzles them the most is the fact that he went on and shot Noluthando
Bongi said the family has been struggling to pay for the funeral for the two sisters. She said they have managed to buy a coffin for Nomvula and they do not have money to buy a coffin for Noluthando. "We have managed to buy the first coffin which the whole family contributed to it. Nobody is working at home and we are struggling to raise funds to buy the second coffin.
