The family of a young woman who was brutally stabbed to death allegedly by her baby daddy wants justice. Siphesihle Mthembu (20) from KwaMashu Hostel in the north of Durban in KwaZulu Natal (KZN) was allegedly stabbed and killed by the father of her children on Tuesday.
It is alleged that Siphesihle and her boyfriend went to a local mall to buy clothes for their two kids when they began arguing and the suspect started assaulting her in full view of other shoppers. Siphesihle's sister Mbali Mthembu told ZiMoja that the baby daddy was beaten by the mob at the mall and he managed to escape leaving his family behind. " When he came back he went into his parents's house where he narrated what happened at the mall to them," said her older Mbali.
Mbali said that the baby daddy then decided to wait for the Siphesihle at the bus stop where he knew she would get off. "When Siphesihle got out of the taxi, he told their two kids to go home while he spoke to their mother. The kids obliged. They argued again and he pulled out his knife and stabbed her eight times before dumping the body in a local stadium," Mbali said. It's alleged that the suspect has been in hiding since the incident. Mbali says her sister was not the suspect's first victim. "He is used to stabbing people and my sister was also abused through the years they have been together. Unfortunately, she did not leave him until it was too late," Mbali added that all they want now is justice for her sister and for the man never to walk he streets again. "My sister suffered a great deal at his hands, he needs to pay for what he did to her. Now we can't even bury her because no one is working at home. I will never forgive him for what he did. he needs to rot in jail," Mbali said.
