Media personality Thembisa Nxumalo, and her husband Eric Nxumalo are expecting their first baby together since their marriage and couldn't be happier.

THE BABY SHOWER

Friends and colleagues organised a surprise baby shower for the mom-to-be at a Johannesburg hotel. Veteran actress and head organiser, Amanda Quwe, shared a heartfelt message to Thembisa. "A mother and child I was brought to care for and love this year, is you," she says. "I just realised all I want to do is just that. A pleasure to serve mommy dearest, and by God's grace, we have come this far," she adds. "Oh, how much I love you. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this journey! My Queen mother."

Friends joined in celebration, under the post, congratulating the mom-to-be.

A SUPPORTIVE HUSBAND

In 2021, many suspected the mom of twins to be pregnant but that was not the case. Thembisa later shared how supportive her husband is, even when she fell ill from COVID-19. " A constant reminder of the incredible human I married. Right there by my side every day, when I was in the hospital. Regardless of all the 1,000,002 things he had to do. I can't begin to explain what it was like not being able to see my babies but seeing his face kept me going with a constant smile, a joke here and there, videos of the kids and constantly reminding me that everything will be OK," she wrote. "You are not only the love of my life but my peace too. I wish I could whisk you away on a special vacay so you can breathe easy. Lie on a hammock and just relax. You deserve that peace of mind."
