"I am home for the rest of the year," Sonia says that she slipped and fell down the stairs, resulting in her breaking her leg. "I am still in pain but I will be fine."

She faced tax woes with SARS recently and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease a few months ago after spending two weeks in hospital. The actress told ZiMoja that she is currently taking treatment. She said the disease has affected her in many ways both physically and emotionally and that she has had to change her diet and eating habits. "I had to quit alcohol and I now have to go for drips to make sure I have enough iron," she added.
