Moja LOVE's drug busting show Sizo'k thola is coming back with a new presenter. In a statement released today, the channel announced that Xolani Maphanga, who presents X -Repo, will be taking over the show which was hosted by Xolani Khumalo.
WORKING WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT
The channel said the third season of the show will be back on the small screen in April. According to the statement, viewers can look forward to more exciting and interesting new elements of the third season. "Xolani will be sweeping the streets of South Africa clean together with law enforcement whilst rooting out drugs and exposing drug dealers, including drug lords,' reads the statement. The statement further states that Xolani will leave no stone unturned and cleaning the streets of South Africa from the suburbs to ekasi. "The new season will be nothing short of exciting and viewers can start preparing themselves for some exhilarating changes including the addition of sniffer dogs, "said the statement.
SOCIETY NOT TO TURN A BLIND EYE
The enthusiastic Xolani has urged community for support as drugs affect everyone. "I have witnessed the impact of drugs on the youth including how they live families scarred for life and it gives me great honour to contribute to a social justice programme and a show that tackles the scourge of drugs head on," he told ZiMoja. "This is a fight we cannot win alone, so we will be working closely with communities and law enforcement to fight the scourge of drugs in our communities,' he added. It seems like his big bosses also agree that he is the good candidate for the job. Adding on the on the announcement, Co-Heads of Channel, Shoki Zama and Livhuwani Dagada said they could not contain their excitement about both the presenter and the return of the show. "We are excited about the return of one of our flagship shows, Sizok'thola, with Xolani Maphanga at the helm. As a channel, we are deeply invested in contributing positively to our society and we are aware of the impact of drugs, not only on the youth but the nation as a whole,' According to the two co-heads of channel, through Sizok'thola and in conjunction with the communities and law enforcement, they are confident that the show will contribute positively to the fight against drugs in communities.
