Musician Luke Ntombela, who previously implied that DJ Tira committed sexual assault, has made it clear that she will not be intimidated by his money and fame. Ntombela had demanded answers from DJ Tira after allegedly waking up naked next to him and suspecting that she had been drugged and sexually assaulted.
COUNTER CLAIM
In response, DJ Tira's lawyers sent her a "cease and desist" letter, claiming that she was damaging his brand. However, Ntombela's lawyers have now challenged DJ Tira, real name Mthokozisi Khathu, to take legal action against her if he wishes to do so. On Monday, Ntombela's lawyers, K Matseke Attorneys from Joburg, sent DJ Tira's lawyers a letter where they said Ntombela would carry on and say what she likes. "In the meantime, should your client feel the urge to seek legal redress as threatened, you are hereby invited to carry out such a threat," said a letter addressed to DJ Tira and his lawyers, Khathi & Mkhize Attorneys. They have stated that Ntombela will continue to speak her truth and stand up for those who have experienced cyberbullying and have been silenced for speaking out. " Your correspondence under reply indirectly suggests that your client has a different version of events from that which our client believes to be the truth, and in the public interest, please let us have this version that renders our client's alleged statements "baseless, unfounded, and defamatory." The letter continues: "As it is not our 'client's intention to litigate by correspondence, our failure to deal with each allegation averred in your letter should not be construed as an admission of the correctness thereof, but at a later stage and in a suitable forum, such allegations shall be appropriately dealt with.".
STILL WAITING FOR ANSWERS
Sharing the letter from her followers on social media, Ntombela wrote: "And you, @djtira, for thinking money and fame are everything. There is someone above representing us all. @djtira I'm still waiting for an explanation. Yesterday, Ntombela declared that she is standing with the Lord, saying, "With the help of God, I am standing up for those who have or are experiencing cyberbullying, those who have been challenged, silenced, criticized for speaking their truth, and those who are shy and are still afraid to speak.". DJ Tira ignored our calls and text messages when contacted for a comment.
