Brinnette Seopela is quitting reality TV. Seopela, who was part of the A-list cast of the Real Housewives of Johannesburg franchise for two seasons says TV is not good for her mental well-being.
REALITY TV IS 'TOXIC'
Seopela, whose failed marriage was once televised on TV, says she does not regret inviting cameras into her private space, "but it is something that I will never do again". She explains, "I learnt the hard way. TV is toxic and unfortunately, I am old for that." She says that she will be more behind the scenes. There is something I am part of and my involvement is behind the scenes. I will reveal that soon," she says.
A SERIAL BRIDE?
Seopela who lost her fiancé late last year also confirmed that she is currently engaged to someone from a royal family in North West. She did not want to disclose the name of the man saying his family is reserved. The businesswoman who has been married once and engaged three times before, says she is not rushing into anything this time around. "I am not rushing into anything, so we do not have a wedding date yet. We are happy and want to enjoy each other before walking down the aisle. And we are also solid because I have cut down on friends. Many people don't have access to my life," she adds. She says she wants to enjoy this phase of her relationship even though they are engaged. Seopela also rubbished those who call her a "serial bride". "I don't understand why people call me that. I have only been married once and engaged twice or thrice," she laughs.
