The divorce drama between the renowned actor Sello Maake kaNcube and his estranged wife Pearl Mbewe is far from over. It seems like the PR guru will be using public transport this festive season after Maake took back the brand-new Mercedes Benz he bought for her in happier times.

BRING BACK MY CAR

According to highly placed sources, Maake took back the car when things started going awry between them a few weeks ago. ZiMoja can confirm that Maake has since gifted the car to his son while he drives around in his expensive Porsche Cayenne. "He sometimes drives the car, but it is mostly driven by his son," added the source. According to the source, Pearl was hoping to get the car because when they started dating, they were using her car to get around, and now that Maake is making money she feels that he owes her a car. "They were using her car for a while then when Maake started making money, he bought a car and a house in Centurion and kicked her out," another source said. 

THE CAR WAS NOT UNDER HER NAME

The source also revealed that Pearl, who is from Braamfishcher in Soweto, feels like she deserves half of his things, especially because she brought him lucrative business deals. "But unfortunately, the car was not bought under her name. Yena, she worked shame; she brought good deals and made money," added the source. When called for comment, Maake said he is not fighting with his ex.He said he understands that in every divorce, there will always be a bitter part. "It is not uncommon for parties in divorce proceedings to maintain a hostile attitude towards each other, at least for a while. The fact that parties are at loggerheads in divorce proceedings is, however, not justification for unlawful conduct resulting in attempts to defame and slander the other remains unlawful," he said. When asked about the car the actor said: "A divorce is a private matter and I won't comment about the car issue," he added. Pearl could not be reached for comment.
