Well-known Limpopo comedian Livhuwani Madadzhe (38) known as SABC Livhu appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrate on Monday on charges of murder. Livhu is accused of killing his wife Lindelani Nengovhela (32) on 28 January 2023, a day after she withdrew an assault case against him.

MATTER POSTPONED

It is alleged that the accused killed his wife and threw her body in a water filled hole next to a pit toilet. It's alleged that Livhu had been abusing his wife for years, but she kept forgiving him and withdrawing the charges she laid against him. Livhu was granted R50 000 bail in April. NPA regional spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi said that Livhu will continue abiding by his bail conditions and that he will not interfere with the state witnesses and to report to Sandton police station every Mondays and Fridays between 08h00 and 16h00. One of the conditions was for Livhu to relocate from Limpopo to Gauteng and to not interfere with witnesses. The matter has been postponed to 1 December for the Director of Public Prosecutions' decision.
