Beauty queen, reality TV star, wife and mom Ratile Mabitsela has opened a domestic violence case against her businessman husband. But Ratile told ZiMoja that she is not in the right place to talk about the happenings behind closed doors in her marriage.

She also said she is not doing great but that she will be okay. This is after a domestic violence incident happened at her home between her, her husband and mother-in-law. A close friend who has been by her side through it all, says The Mommy Club reality star is sad about the incident and ashamed to speak about it. "She is not doing well and very disappointed at how things played out." The friend says that she has been quiet for long enough about thd verbal abuse, which has now escalated to being physical. "Domestic violence is a serious issue in South Africa and she does not want to take this lightly, especially when it involves children. She has two step kids and they have three children of their own. This is not something to joke about and she has thought the matter through and taking legal action."

Ratile (32) and her husband Lehlogonolo Elias Mabitsela have a significant gap of over 10 years and she has not been ashamed to talk about it.

"Age is nothing but a number," Ratile said in a previous interview with ZiMoja. She previously told Zimoja that balancing being a wife, mom and business owner is not easy but she lives it. She has two helpers who play a big part in running her household. "I am blessed to have a husband who is hands on. At times he helps with school runs and sometimes groceries," she said at the time. "My husband is a well-seasoned businessman, and his knowledge has helped me with making some business decisions. The couple has three kids plus her husband's two children from his previous relationship making them a blended family.

The Mrs South Africa 2023 semifinalist and former 2013 Miss Thembisa first established herself as a content creator and YouTuber. She and her husband met at a braai of a high school friend in Thembisa. He asked for her number, but she refused and changed her mind later. Early in the relationship, Ratile fell pregnant and got married later.
