Nonn Botha has left 702

Popular Radio 702 presenter, Nonn Botha is leaving the station after serving it with distinction for the past nine years. Botha started working at the Gauteng based station from July 1, 2015. Botha presented the music segment from where she played music of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. On Sundays, Botha covered from 4pm to 7pm - playing endless soul and R&B music to help the listeners welcome in the new week.


QUITTING FOR PRSONAL REASONS


Botha said that she was leaving the station for personal reasons. "Though I am leaving for personal reasons, please know that the memories and relationships I've built here will remain with me. I wish you all continued success and joy as you carry on the exceptional work that defines 702," she said in the statement. Apart from presenting music on Radio 702, Botha made business relationships where she would be booked to perform at different gigs to play classic music from the 70s to the 90s. In a statement she said about leaving the station: "My time here has been filled with unforgettable experiences, and it's all thanks to the support and incredible warmth from both our loyal listeners and my wonderful colleagues. To our listeners, your enthusiasm, feedback, and companionship have made every broadcast a meaningful experience. Your engagement and encouragement have been the driving force behind our success as part of the music team at 702, and I am profoundly grateful for your unwavering support," she added.

Botha also thanked her colleagues. "Working alongside such talented and dedicated individuals has been a true privilege. The collaborative spirit, creativity, and mutual respect we shared have made this journey not just a career but a cherished chapter of my life. Thank you for the countless moments of laughter, learning, and teamwork."
