It has been a few days since his early release from jail for contempt of court after being instructed to refrain from sharing information implicating musician Ntokozo "K.O' Mdluli in the assassination of rapper Kiernan "AKA' Forbes. Former artist manager Nhlamulo "Nota' Baloyi (34) appeared at the Randburg Magistrate's Court today for the review of a protection order against the popular Rhythm City actress who accused him of rape.
COURT ORDER
Dressed warm and looking chirpy, on a hot Joburg morning, Nota appeared at the court alone with his legal representative. Actress Itumeleng Bokaba is accusing the outspoken Nota of rape. Today, Nota appeared in court to review a protection order where he requested that the actress not mention his name on social media and/ or be close to each other. Nota believes that Itumeleng may have violated the protection order and mentioned him in a video on social media.
Nota requested that the court review a social media post and video where the actress speaks about how the alleged rape affected her income and mental wellness. However, the case was postponed for replying to affidavit submissions on 13 December 2024. "I just want to prove my innocence and for this to end. It has been one of the worst experiences of my life," he told ZiMoja.
HANDING HIMSELF OVER
In October Nota handed himself over to the authorities, he spent three nights behind bars and made his first appearance on the rape case on Monday 7 October for a bail application, where he wanted granted R5 000 bail. Nota denied raping the actress and said they had consensual sex and that she tried to blackmail him into promoting her music. "This is wrong, I'm hurt but I have faith that God will restore my good name and condemn those who tried to tarnish it...!" Nota said.
