Pitso Mosimane lands another coaching job after leaving Al Ahli

South Africa's most successful football coach, Pitso Mosimane did not have to wait long to find another job after cutting ties with Al Ahli Saudi this week. He has been appointed head coach at United Arab Emirates club Al Wahda FC. Pitso left the Saudi Arabian club, Al Ahli after not getting paid for several months. He helped the then second-division team to gain promotion to the elite Saudi Pro League.


THE CLUB MADE IT OFFICIAL 

Al Wahda FC announced the news on their official Twitter account on Saturday night. "Al Wahda FC Company has signed with the South African Technical Director Pitso Mosimane to lead the first team as a Head Coach. The Club's Board of Directors welcomes Mr Mosimane to the Home of Champion, wishing him success in serving the club's leadership, administration, and fans ambitions," the club wrote. The four-time UAE Pro League champions finished their third last season. The team will be hoping Pitso takes them to greater heights like he did with Al Ahli and African giants, Al Ahly a few years ago. Before going to Egypt and the UAE, Pitso was successful in South Africa where he won league titles and cup competitions with Supersport United and Mamelodi Sundowns, respectively. At Sundowns, he even conquered Africa when they won their first CAF Champions League. 


HE CONFIRMED HIS DEPARTURE 

Earlier this week, Pitso confirmed his departure from Al Ahli Saudi "I would like to express my utmost satisfaction for having achieved the difficult task of promoting the team back to the Saudi Pro League. Within 8 months," Former Al. He continued by thanking players and supporters. "We would have never achieved this feat without the players who continuously played their hearts out, the technical team and staff that supported me and the players throughout, and finally thank you to the undying support from the Ali Ahli supporters for your presence on the stands at home and away games was the best motivator,"
