He was one of the fan favourites on Showmax production, Temptation Island SA. Although he was adored, model and actor Sibu Nqini still walked off single, but managed to bag some great modelling work after the show. He also signed a contract with Sync Models. The Gqeberha star however claims that the agency has not paid him for the hard work he had done for an advert for a financial service provider.
NOT ATTENTION SEEKING
Speaking to ZiMoja, Sibu says he is not putting the agency on blast to be malicious, but he needs this to not happen again to another model. "This has been happening for a very long time where agencies do not pay models and actors for their hard work. I am speaking up, so this comes to an end," he says. "I am not doing it for attention or to be spiteful, but I really worked hard and deserve to be paid what is due to me."
SCAMMED?
Sibu first exposed the company, Sync Models owned by Forbes 30 under 30 recipient, Alessandrio Bergman. "They have blatantly refused to pay for a gig I did five months ago. And have completely ghosted me," Sibu says. "Even his head booker whom I was liaising with Lindokuhle Ndaba just abruptly resigned from the company. Is this not dodge?" he asks. Sibu adds that as a professional, it is embarrassing for him to resort to publicly speaking up. "Maybe someone else is being affected." Alessandrio Bergman could not be reached for comment.
